Clout Street: Fritchey gets campaign cash from Blagojevich fundraiser, wife in Emanuel race

From Clout Street,
Milan Petrovic, who was listed as Gov. Rod Blagojevich's top campaign fundraiser at a political corruption trial last year, recently gave $2,400 to the congressional fund of state Rep. John Fritchey (D-Chicago), according to federal campaign finance reports filed today.

Fritchey also reported receiving another $2,400 from Petrovic's wife, Anne.

Last week, Clout Street reported Fritchey got a campaign donation from another Blagojevich ally, state Sen. James DeLeo (D-Chicago).
Why am I not surprized? The comments at Clout Street should be fun to watch.

  1. Fritchey took Hired Truck contributions, which he has yet to answer for in this election. In 2003 Fritchey circulated nonminating petitions to run for alderman against Ted Matlack. Fritchey met with IGA Commissioner John Doer who threatened Fritchey with Donald Tomczak's 250 unlawful campaign workers. In return for Fritchey not running against Matlak, Tomczak steered Hired Truck campaign donations to Fritchey.
Fritchey a reformer, no way, no how.
